Daddy's girl

I'm starting to notice that it's getting easier and easier the more independent Emily is becoming.  Yes, her increasing mobility does cause me to panic more but she's also able to entertain herself for longer periods of time and doesn't demand the constant attention she did a few months prior.  Her schedule is so much more predictable now and I've started to relax a lot more about being a parent.  I feel like we've found a good rhythm in our lives.  But, with a baby, things quickly change so let's not get too comfortable, ha!

Emily is 1000% Daddy's girl right now and I must admit, it made me sad but I'm happy she's crazy about him.  She's been having separation anxiety from him lately and cries when he drops her off at daycare.  She is now the second oldest in the infant room at daycare and she'll be transitioning to the toddler room in about three to four months.

She's starting to show more interest in table foods and sippy cups.  I'm way more excited about cooking her table food than making purees, that's for sure.

I can't believe she'll be 9 months next week!

She loves playing with water bottles so I added some fun duct tape and beads for some noise.

Thirty One

I had a great day today and I'm so blessed to be surrounded by such love from family and friends.  My mom spent the night so we could have breakfast together.  She made seaweed soup which I haven't had since I had Emily and it was so good.  It's Korean tradition to eat seaweed soup on your birthday so my mom made my morning extra special.

Emily wasn't feeling well today and had a fever.  I was a little upset this morning because I wanted to stay home with her but luckily she was with Grandma to get all the TLC she needed.

Birthday

We had dinner with friends this weekend to celebrate my birthday.  I should've taken more pictures of everyone and the babies that came!  Emily had a great time seeing all her aunties, uncles and friends.

Loves noodles just like Mommy!

Having a blast

Emily has been doing such fun and funny things lately that she instantly cheers me up no matter what.  She's been napping better at home on the weekends but still catnaps at daycare.  This past weekend we visited Jordan, went to Gymboree with David, had dinner with Aunt Jackie and picked up a new toy that my friend let us borrow.  It was a great, productive weekend.

Hello October!

Ahhh my favorite month.  Why?  Halloween and the beginning of the holidays.  Oh, and my birthday.  Now only if this weather would cool down.  Seriously.

Lately, Emily has been having a hard time going to bed.  She used to be so good and now she's throwing tantrums and screaming when put in her crib.  She looks like this x 5:

Poor Baby :(

I've been staying in her room until she falls asleep because she calms down and falls asleep if she knows I'm there.  Since she is sensitive and a light sleeper, I end up leaving the room like this:

Now only if I looked this hot doing it...
Emily is getting better at clapping, doing jam jam (open & closing fists), pointing and cruising along the edges of her crib.

A gift from Jason's cousin.  Emily loves looking at the different colors and touching the different textures

Bath time is fun again with bubbles!

Hates water in her eyes
I'm so excited for Emily's first Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
